Detailed Risk and Method Statements specific to diamond drilling or sawing are completed prior to the commencement of each project, they will be delivered to site by one of our operatives when arriving on site.

Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd provides and maintains all of our diamond drilling equipment and regularly performs PAT testing and regular equipment servicing.

At Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd all of our workforce are highly qualified and expertly trained for our trade and hold qualification in the following:

Ed's Diamond Drilling Ltd are a CHAS accredited company, delivering the highest standard of Health and Safety.

Establishing and enforcing safe methods of work at all times.

Our Diamond Drilling operatives are required to read our Risk and Method Statements prior to completing any diamond drilling and sawing work.

On each diamond drilling or sawing project they are asked to read and sign that they will follow the safe working instructions provided.

We provide our workforce with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment

  • Masks - All of our operatives are provided with a full face fitting certificates and renewed when required.
  • Hard Hat
  • Ear Defenders
  • Goggles
  • HI-V.I.S vest
  • Uniform
  • Steel toe cap boots

Ed's Diamond Drilling regularly provide our operatives with Face Fitting, this ensures every operatives face masks are working and protecting our operatives correctly when they are diamond drilling or sawing.

Our diamond drilling and sawing apprentice Liam is on his first year of completing his NVQ 2 in diamond drilling and Sawing. Liam is on a diamond drilling specialist course in Birmingham.

He is being closely monitored by one of our highly trained diamond drilling operatives who has become his designated supervisor. Liam has been diamond drilling on a number of sites now in Birmingham.

Liam attends collage where he receives training in all aspects of diamond drilling and sawing:

  • Heath and Safety
  • Security in the workplace
  • operating power tools
  • efficient working environment
  • access equipment
  • Diamond Drilling / Floor Sawing / Track Sawing / Chain, Ring and hand Sawing.

On completion our apprentice will receive certificates in the following:

  • IPAF-Scissor lift & broom
  • Fire marshal
  • Abrasive wheels
  • Confirmed space
  • Robotic crushing
  • Pasma- mobile tower
  • Manual handling
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Health and safety awareness
  • First aid
